Canoeing Grundy Lake

Just as we kicked off the summer with a camping trip in May to Killbear Provincial Park - we decided that the most appropriate way to end summer was with a camping trip over the labour day long weekend.  This trip we headed back to Grundy Lake Provincial Park.  The reason - the park is absolutely stunning.  It has everything - water, trees, rocks, cell phone reception for instant instagram updates. Everything this wannabe camper needs.

Last time we were there we took in some hikes and did a whole lot of nothing.  Rock sitting.  Campfire sitting.  Beach sitting.  It was great.  This time - we decided to get in some canoeing.  Because the best way to take in the beauty of this park is to explore it from the water.  Plus I think canoeing is an integral part of camping - and we had yet to do it this year.

  1. What a beautiful portrait of the last of summer! You're making me want to go find a canoe and do something fun! lol. I really want to go to this Lake Grundy, especially after I noticed that it was in Canada. Can I just say that I love your country? I went to Toronto this summer and I want to go back!

  6. Love the canoeing pictures! We didn't get any but that was probably for the best. Especially since I ended up in the water...twice.

  12. That image of the two canoes is fantastic. It's precarious and unbalanced, but in a very expressive manner- I keep telling you you've got an eye for composition!! We'll make a photographer out of you yet!
Also, I love boats. And being on water. Not being IN water; but being on it in a boat? Yes, please!!
